Were you looking for something out of the ordinary for your wedding favors? Or maybe you are hosting a special event and need something to give to each guest. Have you considered something hand painted? Maybe even a container to hold nuts or small candies for each guest?
Chinese Food Carry Out Boxes are a lovely idea for this very thing. They are affordable and yet unique, and can be painted in such a way to still be classy for your event. Just about any theme would look nice on these boxes. You can go all out and cover the entire box with painting, or just add a touch. Either way you will get your money’s worth with this type of favor.
They are not bulky or something your guests will have to try to figure out what to do with when they get it home. Are you planning a big event in the near future? It’s probably time to give some thought to the decorations and favors you will have at this gathering. It is never to early to plan.
If first impressions are important to you, then you might want to consider having items custom painted to fit the theme and colors of your event. They do not have to be expensive to create a lovely party. You may even want to consider the items you have painted, to be the favors for your guests to take with them when they part.
Items to consider are votive flower pot candle holders and mini ivy bowls. They make great candle holders or you could even fill each one with candy or nuts, and place them at each place setting. These items can be sat throughout the room to encourage warmth and to set a pleasant and peaceful mood. A centerpiece made from a garden dish could adorn each table. Just imagine candles floating in each one. They also make nice flower containers if you would prefer that instead of using candles.
You will be providing your guests with a unique and wonderful experience, one they have not seen before. They will think you have over spent on your event, when quite the opposite is the case. Lasting impressions will be left with your guests for some time to come!

There are a variety of different types of brushes to choose from when you are working on your painting projects. Even within the One Stroke family, there are different brushes to be used based on the surface you are painting on. The differences are in the bristles and may vary from hard to soft bristles. They are distinguished by the different colored handles and the fabric brushes even have a green stripe on the tip of the bristles.
The brushes for Glass and Ceramics are soft. This allows them to hold the paint nicely in the brush, while moving smoothly over the slick surface. They also keep the brush strokes from being as noticeable as they might be with a regular brush.
The fabric brush bristles are harder and hold up well while painting on fabric. This is a little trickier since the paint does not flow as easily on this type of surface. The One Stroke Fabric brushes will assist you in creating a beautiful final project that you will be proud to wear.
It does not matter if you are painting on glass or fabric, the brushes in this line hold up very well to frequent use. They rarely lose their bristles. What you may find after several uses is the bristles losing their shape. If you take care of them properly and reshape them after using, you will extend their life. They are reasonably priced which makes them practical to use on your decorative painting projects.

Hand painted favors and glassware are a wonderful way to make your wedding reception or next party unique from the rest. They are beautiful and yet affordable for most. No two pieces are exactly alike since they are painted by freehand. The pictures are just a sample of what can be done. There are many other items that could be used.
The hand painted terracotta pots may be used in a few different ways. They can hold candy and nuts either directly in the pot or wrapped in netting with a nice bow. Your wedding day is a day to remember the rest of your life. It should be a day filled with unique and specially made accessories and favors to make it even more memorable. A great way to do this is to have items such as your bride and groom toasting glasses, and the cake knife serving set hand painted. You could even have them painted to match the design of your invitations.
They can be painted with acrylic enamel painted and the glass can be baked to cure the paint. The plastic on the cake knife and serving set will not allow them to be baked, however they can be coated with varnish to add durability. The paint cures being air dried within 21 days.

I have been busy working on getting some orders filled that are for wedding gifts and favors. I just completed a lovely bridal shower gift for my best friend’s daughter. I really hope she likes it.
At last weeks shower I gave her the wedding signature platter. This week at her next shower I am giving her a hand painted 9 piece Margarita Set. This set is brightly painted with polka dots in multi-colors. The dots are different sizes even down to the dots on the base. This set will be wonderful for entertaining guests when they come over for a visit. Even the salt/sugar plate is painted on the reverse side to added color.
The paint used is acrylic enamel paint. It is non-toxic. The pieces have all been baked to set the paint. The bottom side of the plate has been sealed with varnish to added protection to the paint as it is being used.
These pieces are dishwasher safe if placed on the top rack. I do however recommend hand washing to preserve the design. They are durable and should provide the bride and groom with years of use.
